World Sight Day in Sandwell
To mark World Sight Day, Ideal for All in partnership with Sandwell Council’s Vision Services and Sandwell Visually Impaired group, is arranging an open day from 10am to 4pm on Friday 10 October. The Open Day is for the public, people who use services, carers, and health and social care professionals.
The event will include sharing information and awareness raising sessions. If you have a visual impairment, are worried about your sight, or if you are a friend or relative of someone who does, this event is for you.
There will be a wide range of information about sight problems and the support and help that is available. You will be able to talk to people who have experienced similar problems themselves.
Join us at the Independent Living Centre, 100 Oldbury Road, Smethwick B66 1JE. Light refreshments will also be available.
World Sight Day is an annual day of awareness held on the second Thursday of October, to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment.
