Newsletter success
Last October SVI successfully bid for a grant of £5,000 from the Sandwell Partnership to launch a newsletter and this website. The newsletter goes out to the 1,700 people named on the Council’s register of visually impaired Sandwell people; the December 2006 and the latest one for March 07 issues will be found on this site in audio and PDF formats.
Our first newsletter, issued in December 06 attracted over 100 responses, of which 55 were new member applications. The March 07 issue has already attracted about the same number of responses, with 30 new members added to give SVI 230 members to date. So we are well on our way to achieve the 300 member target we set ourselves at our AGM last October.
