Launch of SVI Health Needs Analysis Report
The launch of the SVI Health Needs Analysis Report for the visually impaired community of Sandwell took place on 24 February 2010.
This is the first report of its kind to be carried out in Sandwell (indeed in the region) aiming to identify the health needs of the visually impaired community.
The event went really well, with more than 50 people attending the event representing a wide range of service providers/agencies.
During the event, two workshops were delivered. One on visual impairment awareness and the other on making information accessible.
The event also included Presentations from Graham Price, SVI Chair, Dr John Middleton, Director of Public Health in Sandwell, Dr Malcolm Fisk of Insight Social Research on the findings of the report and Glynn Dixon, Head of Inclusion and Improvement of Adult Services and Health of Sandwell Council.
