Barriers to the employment of disabled people
The barriers to employment faced by disabled people are currently being debated within the council’s Scrutiny Panel. SVI have been acknowledged as an expert witness in the gathering of evidence which is used in the report’s findings and recommendations.
As council reports go it’s hard hitting, and we intend to press for the recommendations to be acted upon so that the benefit is felt by the disabled community. If you would like a copy we are happy to email it to you after it receives council approval, (by June 07)
